Family Science Night
Every year we hold a Family Science Night at JB Nelson Elementary School where the students have the opportunity to share their science collection, model, invention, or experiment and see a presentation from a special guest speaker.

- Please come support your fellow classmates and see their project displays!
Wonders of Wind (by Scitech)
Event Run Time: 5:30-7:30 pm
Station 1: Wind Tunnels - Participants will build a simple helicopter and get to launch through our wind tunnels
Station 2: Air Cannons - Participants will build mini air cannons and see how far they can launch a pompom
Station 3: Loop Gliders - Participants learn how objects move through air by making a loop glider that they can keep.
The most important reason we hold this event is for our students to have some fun experiencing science outside the traditional classroom setting.
