Family Science Night

Every year we hold a Family Science Night at JB Nelson Elementary School where the students have the opportunity to share their science collection, model, invention, or experiment and see a presentation from a special guest speaker.

Please submit the Intent to Participate form by March 6, 2025.

5:30- 6:15 Student Project Showcase

•  Please come support your fellow classmates and see their project displays! 

•  Students will meet people who use science everyday to answer questions, solve problems, and learn about our world.  Each scientist will tell us about themselves and their job. Some of them will show us tools they use or do a demonstration. Students can ask questions or write them down.

The most important reason we hold this event is for our students to have some fun experiencing science outside the traditional classroom setting.
